This deep blue vase is the vast universe. 

The small white knot upon it is you, and me. 

In all that deep blue, we are so tiny that it feels a little sad. 

But even though the knot could come undone at any moment, 

we still insist on tying it. 

That persistence is our way of holding on to life,
